Quilting in the evening

Last night we had a couple of friends over for dinner, it is so awesome to see Lainey grow with her friends her age. After they left I decided I wanted to make a quilt. I had it in my mind that I was going to start it and finish it and that is what I did:) This little patchwork quilt measures 42" x 36" I love the colors. I used Moda Bliss, I have been sewing a lot with this lately, just love this line. I did not use the green from this line, I think I will make something else with that color combination.

 The back is also bliss dots and cherries in aqua.

 I also made this flying geese quilt a few weeks ago. I bought a quilt designed my Julie at Jaybirds and I just love it. I have only made 2 quilts using solid fabric and I am liking it more and more. I love how this quilt looks, I almost want to hang it, but I won't:)

 The back of the quilt is in a mint green knit. So soft. I bought it awhile on line not realizing it was a knit,  it worked perfect for this quilt and was wide enough that I just used the one piece. 

I love being able to start and finish a quilt. I only with I could tackle larger ones like that.
