Skirt Take One

I made Lainey a skirt. It was a simple pattern from Oliver + S called Lazy Day skirt. I modified it a bit. Instead of using ribbon I used bias tape. 

I can't wait to try it on Lainey tomorrow:) I will be making her a couple more for fall!

Desses and Skirts

After talking with my sis today I had only one thing on my mind. So I went to the fabric store and bought some cute prints to make Lainey some skirts and dresses. The fabric is in the wash and soon I will be able to get started:) Can't wait to see them on her.

I love summer and I love having every friday off just Lainey and I. For some reason it feels like a slower day, weekends are always too busy and fridays are only about Lainey and mama:)  

Garden

 I can not express how much we are enjoying this garden!!! We were very lucky that Trevor's mom planted us her garden before she went away. I will always have a vegetable garden now, everything taste  so good and way better then the stuff at the market. Here is Lainey hanging in the garden.

 Her favourite is the raspberry bush! We have got so many raspberry's this year, we also have a blueberry bush and a strawberry plant, all still producing yumminess:)

 Our dinner the other night, all from the garden. There are green/yellow beans, peas, swiss chard, zucchini, beats, carrots and broccoli. 

Lainey's Room

 As requested by Aunt Julie here are pictures of Lainey's room. Above is where we nurse and snuggle:) Also see the little white night table? Well trevor made that in shop class in junior high! So awesome that it is now Laineys....good thing his mom keeps everything:)

 The bag on the door I made for her crayons and markers! I love it and it really adds to her room.

 This beautiful mobil was made by my talented mom for Lainey's first birthday. We both love it!

 Lainey's night time friends. My mom made pretty much everything in there, minus the teddy aunt Melissa bought her and the pink monkey I bought for her 3 month birthday.

This art work was made by my friend for Lainey's first birthday. I love it, she made one for her daughters room and I was admired it so much.

Lainey's room is my favourite place in the house, we all spend so much time in here.
